Martin Brodie is Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He directs the Epilepsy Unit in the Western Infirmary, which provides a range of services for people with seizure disorders. Professor Brodie is vice president of the International League against Epilepsy and chairs its Task Force on Regional Commissions. He also chairs the Management Group and Scientific Advisory Board of European Concerted Action and Research in Epilepsy (EUCARE), and is vice chair of the executive committee of the European Epilepsy Academy. His research interests include antiepileptic neuropharmacology, the management of epilepsy, and factors affecting outcome.
